Here are the dates, mark them in your calendar
OKLAHOMA START (times are estimated until flights are booked):
DEPART FROM WILL RODGERS: JULY 18TH 2024 5am – We will spend the day in San Diego, sight seeing. Then meet up with the full team for a team dinner around 6pm.
DEPART: FRIDAY MORNING, JULY 19TH 2024 – To Mexico (construction begins)
RETURN FROM WILL RODGERS: SUNDAY EVENING, JULY 21ST 2024 11:30 pm –
NON-OKLAHOMA START:
ARRIVE IN SAN DIEGO BY: JULY 18TH 2024 – All flights/vehicles should arrive into San Diego no later than 3pm.
DEPART: FRIDAY MORNING, JULY 19TH 2024 – To Mexico
RETURN: SUNDAY MORNING, JULY 21ST 2024 – Back to hotel/airport around noon.
CAN I ADD VACATION TIME?:
YES! It is totally available to fly in early or stay longer and enjoy California. If you do, there might be a slight increase for the flights because you would no longer get the group rate.
***IMPORTANT TRAVELING INFORMATION AND TIMES***
*** You will need a PASSPORT! The U.S. does require a passport book or card to cross back over the boarder. This process can take 6-7 months to complete. Check with your local Postoffice about the passport application process. A second option is to apply for a passport card (This choice comes with a reduction of approximately $100 in cost and offers a quicker process).
**If you are flying, you will need to arrive at the San Diego airport and be ready to be picked no later than 3:00pm on JULY 18th. We will have volunteers and shuttle vans available at that time to transport you from the airport to the hotel. If that is not achievable, you will need to be responsible for your own means of transportation from the airport to the hotel. We will cover transportation from the hotel to Mexico and back.
**The earliest we will be able to check into the hotel is 3pm. (if rooms are available earlier, they will try to accommodate)
**The cost is $1390 for adults & $1000 for children under 18 yrs old (plus flights est. $500). This covers the house build, room and board in Tijuana & San Diego, transportation from San Diego to Tijuana and back, hotel stay on July 18th 2024, food Thursday night, Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning, there will be snacks and water for the drive to the YWAM compound.
**Transportation from San Diego to Mexico and back will be provided. We have (10) 12 seat vans that we will transport everyone to Mexico and back. Transportation to and from San Diego is the participants responsibility, but you can raise additional funds for this if you choose. If someone is driving to San Diego, the parking is covered at the hotel and vehicles are safe to be left there while we are in Mexico as well. We do have shuttle vans available to pick people up from the airport if someone chooses to fly into San Diego.
**The hotel cost for Thursday JULY 18th, 2024 is included. Hotel incidentals will be the responsibility of the member. Here is the hotel website to look at. Legacy Resort Hotel & Spa.
**Thursday JULY 18th, we will have dinner at 6pm at the Amigo Spot. (From the hotel, it is an 8-minute walk) We also have the option of taking our shuttle vans.
THIS TRIP WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN OR SHINE. WE WILL KEEP YOU POSTED OF WEATHER CONDITIONS AND WHAT TO BRING AS THE TRIP DEPARTURE APPROACHES.
